Our Services

At the Diagnostic Imaging Center and The Center for Breast Care, we offer the following diagnostic services:

Diagnostic Center
Fluoroscopy - uses X-rays to form real-time images of the body's internal structures.
X-ray - uses a small amount of radiation to create images of bones and organs.
Ultrasound - uses sound waves to form pictures of the body's interior.
Bone Densitometry - uses low-energy X-rays to scan the lower back, hip or forearm. This helps to help diagnose osteoporosis, a disease that weakens bones and makes them more brittle and susceptible to fracture. The Lunar Prodigy Advance system is being used at this location.
Additionally, EKG and lab services are available at this location.

Comprehensive Breast Center
Digital Mammography - uses X-rays to visualize abnormalities in the breast tissue. This equipment is used to detect breast cancer as early as possible, which generally improves the effectiveness of treatment. We use the Hologic Selenia digital mammography system.
Breast Ultrasound - uses sound waves to form pictures of the body's interior. We offer the Acuson Sequoia 512 system.
Breast Biopsies - ultrasound-guided needle biopsies and stereotactic biopsies are offered. Stereotactic breast biopsy uses X-rays to locate breast tissue to be removed for further study under a microscope. Our breast biopsy services are minimally invasive and may prevent the need for an open, surgical biopsy. We offer the Hologic Multicare Platinum system for our stereotactic procedures.

Additional Outpatient Diagnostic Services (provided at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital)
MRI - provides detailed pictures of the inside of the body using strong magnets and radio waves. We offer services on the Phillips Intera 1.5 T unit.

CT Scan - combines X-rays and computer scans to create images of the body. The result is a detailed picture that can show problems with soft tissues, organs and bones. We are using the Siemens 64 slice scanner at this location and the Siemens 16 slice scanner at the Diagnostic Imaging Center.
